Sonoma Wine Country Weekend Returns September 2-4

If you find yourself looking for local, Labor Day weekend entertainment, look no further than the Sonoma Wine Country Weekend.  Sonoma Wine Country Weekend is Sonoma County’s signature charity event, bringing together over 200 of Sonoma’s top winemakers and growers, along with a collection of the area’s best chefs, all for a great cause. Sonoma Wine Country Weekend is produced by the Sonoma County Vintners and the Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Foundation and all proceeds benefit local Sonoma charities. To date, Sonoma Wine Country Weekend has raised over $20 million for charities that benefit students, children, farm workers and people in need in Sonoma County communities.

Connect Wine County style.  Immerse yourself in the Wine Country culture, eliminating the distance between yourself and the people who grow and make some of the world’s most amazing wine and food.  The festivities begin on September 2 and continue for three delicious days as attendees get up close and personal with the full bounty of flavors that Sonoma County has to offer. Mingle with winegrowers, winemakers and chefs, from pioneers to up-and-comers. Sonoma Wine Country Weekend has been named one of America’s top three wine charity fundraisers and is quite possibly the most fun you’ll ever have while supporting the local community.

The 3-day weekend will have multiple events throughout the region, from starlight dining to harvest wine auctions, as well as winemaker lunches, dinner and barbecues.  Kick off your Friday night with an elegant and unforgettable night under the stars at Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Alexander Valley or spend your Saturday in Healdsburg, nestled among the rolling hills and towering redwoods, as over 200 wineries pour literally thousands of wines and over 60 local chefs concoct their most perfect pairings at beautiful MacMurray Estate Vineyards. For a complete list of events, please visit their site here.

Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate Wine Country while helping local charities.  For more information regarding Sonoma Wine Country Weekend, visit their website, Facebook page, Instagram account or Twitter feed.
