The summer Wine Country event scene has hit the ground running, with a variety of venues that doesn’t disappoint. July offers a number of events the whole family will enjoy; from Independence Day celebrations to river festivals, beer fests to music festivals, summer is coming to Wine Country in a big way.
Fireworks Over Bodega Bay – July 2
Celebrate Independence Day in Sonoma County with a spectacular firework display over Bodega Bay! The show starts at dark, around 9:30 p.m. Remember to layer as it can get chilly on the coast. More information can be found here.

Sonoma’s 4th of July on the Plaza – July 4
Named the eighth best 4th of July celebrations in the country by Travel+Leisure Magazine & Yahoo News, Sonoma’s 4th of July Celebration is a tradition that brings the community together in all that makes Sonoma great and honors our great nations independence. Enjoy parades, marching bands and fun floats. On the historic plaza, you’ll find live music and games all day long along with food, beer, and wine. At dusk, find a spot for the fireworks show. Our annual visit to Green Valley Growers in Sebastopol promises to be another fun field trip. Enjoy Paul’s signature sticky buns and coffee before an intimate tour of Dr. Jerry Bolduan’s garden. Each year his garden is even more beautiful and he has some new things to share with you as well. After a tour, enjoy a light Mayacama-prepared wine luncheon on the outdoor deck. Jerry will speak on numerous garden topics and answer questions as you have them. Join us for the peace and tranquility of his property.
