The migration of whales peaks along the coast of Sonoma from January through May as gray and blue whales make their annual migration from the waters of Alaska down to Baja California for winter and return north for their summer feeding. There are a number of whale watching boats which follow the migration. For you landlubbers, Ocean Overlook at Bodega Head offers an excellent vantage point to view this epic event.
